LAB 1 - AI ASSISTANT SUGGESTIONS cyberteaches.com/networking/lab-1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Each team typed its user report (but NOT the diagnostic readings) into an AI assistant and asked: "How do I fix my slow laptop?" Evaluate the reply for YOUR case. For each numbered suggestion, decide: keep, test first, or reject, and justify each choice with a reading from your case card. CASE A reply 1. Your laptop may be too old for modern software. Consider buying a new one. 2. Open Task Manager and end any program that is not responding. 3. Install more RAM; 32 GB is recommended for students. 4. If a program keeps restarting, check its startup settings or update it. CASE B reply 1. Run a disk cleanup to remove temporary files. 2. Your processor is overloaded. Close all background apps. 3. Move large files you do not use often to cloud or external storage. 4. Reset your computer to factory settings to make it like new. CASE C reply 1. Restart your router. 2. Buy a faster internet plan (1 Gbps). 3. Use a wired Ethernet connection if one is available. 4. Move closer to the router or remove obstacles between the device and router. CASE D reply 1. Your laptop has a virus. Install three different antivirus programs. 2. Use the laptop on a hard, flat surface so its vents are not blocked. 3. Close browser tabs and apps you are not using. 4. Install more RAM if memory use stays high after closing apps. Remember: AI tools can suggest causes and solutions, but every suggestion must be checked against the diagnostic data and verified on the device.
